Californians used nearly 10 percent less water in November than they did during the same month in 2013, state officials said Tuesday as they continued pressing for conservation amid a prolonged drought.
People in Southern California didn’t do as well; their margin of savings was only 3.2 percent.
And San Diego County went in the opposite direction — increasing consumption by 1.3 percent, local water regulators reported.
The statewide figures, released by the State Water Resources Control Board, showed that Californians used 137,734 million gallons in November, compared with 152,622 million gallons during the same month the previous year.
