Laundroid, the world’s first laundry-folding robot showcased at CES, 2016. Standing tall (roughly the size of a standard refrigerator), the machine has a pull-out drawer at the bottom to throw your crumpled clothes in. Then image-recognition algorithms identify what kind of clothing it’s handling as each item is moved up to shelves and folded appropriately.
This innovation, which has been in the works for 10 years, has announced the plan to showcase a working model ready by CES, 2017. The company has hopes of securing a deal with Panasonic in which the Laundroid will be included in Panasonic washers and dryers by 2018.
