SDG&E’s Proposed Rate Restructuring Would Cost Solar Power Homeowners

Owners of rooftop solar installations are bracing for substantially higher monthly electricity bills under a proposal by San Diego’s utility monopoly to overhaul the way it charges customers of all kinds.

San Diego Gas & Electric asked regulators this month for permission to bill customers separately for use of its distribution grid.

‘Green’ Career Training at Cuyamaca College – San Diego

Rancho San Diego — Cuyamaca College is offering an introductory class to “green” construction careers with free training in classes that will meet in January and February.

A mandatory orientation to review eligibility requirements is set for 9 a.m. Nov. 1, or 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 in Room L101 at Cuyamaca.

For those interested in a career in the green construction industry, the college is providing a three-week introductory course free to eligible students through a training program co-sponsored by the San Diego Workforce Partnership.
